Browse and select a car

The Baden Powell website is where to start. Here you will be able to browse our new and used stock, as well as download E brochures and view high resolution images and videos. You can also get an indicative part exchange valuation for your car and a finance (HP or PCP) quotation that will not affect your credit score (until you go to full application).

Our sales team are on hand to provide further details, including supplementary photos and bespoke video presentations. You can communicate with our sales team via a plethora of means – phone, email, WhatsApp, text, Messenger, Zoom, Teams and Facetime.

Test drive

Once you have narrowed your search down to a specific vehicle, we will arrange a home test drive. This is unaccompanied and fully Covid compliant.

Secure remote transaction

Once you’ve found the car for you, all the buying admin can be completed remotely. Reservation fees, deposits and final balances can either be transacted online or over the telephone, and documentation can be completed either electronically or remotely, including finance paperwork.

Home delivery

Once you’ve given us the go ahead, we will arrange home delivery at a time convenient to you. Again, in a fully Covid compliant manner.

Aftersales support

We are always at your disposal to answer any queries. Whether it be tuning the radio or booking in for a service. As a Powell’s customer, you qualify for free contactless collection and delivery for all service and MOT appointments (distance restriction applies). Alternatively, you can opt for a complimentary loan car or take advantage of our bottomless tea and coffee while you wait in our socially distanced waiting areas.


Do you charge for home delivery?

Mainland UK delivery is free, excluding Highlands and Islands (we will keep any charges as low as we possibly can)

Do I need to insure my new car prior to delivery?

Yes, you will need to arrange your own insurance

Can I still collect my new car from Powell’s?

Yes, you are more than welcome to complete the purchase remotely and then pick up your car, in line with any Government restrictions at the time.

How secure is your online deposit process?


We use a secured verified payment provider which utilises encrypted software protecting your card payment details. We do not store any of your card details.

Can I amend my delivery and collection day after I have placed my order?

How do I get my finance settlement?


We can help you with this. One of our sales team will be able to obtain your settlement figure.

I have some questions regarding financing my purchase who should I speak to?


We would be happy to talk to you regarding any questions you have about financing your car purchase. One of our sales team can be contacted by email or simply give us a call.

Part Exchange

Can I use my part exchange as my deposit for my car purchase?


Yes, you can use your part exchange as all or part of your deposit towards your car purchase. However, if there is outstanding finance on your part exchange this will have to be settled by us as part of the transaction. Any amount left after settlement of your finance can be used towards your deposit.

What happens if my part exchange is worth more than the car I want to purchase?


If your car is valued more than the car you would like to purchase and there is no outstanding finance on it, we will happily give you back the difference. This would be paid to you after taking delivery of your new vehicle.

Is the valuation you give me for my part exchange guaranteed?


Yes, assuming you have described your part exchange accurately, answered all the questions correctly and read our terms and conditions regarding part exchange your value will be guaranteed.

Can I remove my part exchange from my order at any time?


Yes, you can remove your part exchange from your order at any time prior to your vehicle handover. You will though have to allow for any adjustment in your quotation if your part exchange was being used towards your deposit.

Can I part exchange two vehicles as part of my order?


Yes, if both the vehicles are owned by you, or you have the permission of the owner to use the vehicle as part of your order. Our sales team will be able to help you in this scenario.
