Honda 8 Year Service Activated Warranty at Baden Powell

All new Honda cars come with a standard 3-year warranty that covers you for the first 3 years or 90,000 miles, whichever comes first. 

With Honda's new Service Activated Warranty, your warranty cover can be extended annually, for up to 8 years or 100,00 miles (whichever comes first).

To maintain your warranty after the initial three-year period, simply service your vehicle in line with Honda recommended service schedule with us at Baden Powell in Scunthorpe.

This offer is only available to non-commercial vehicles registered from 1st April 2026. Additional exclusions may apply during the extension period (see Terms & Conditions for full details).

How it works

1.  Every Honda car comes with a standard 3-year manufacturer warranty. When this ends, your warranty can be extended annually.

2.  To activate each extension, the 3rd annual service and all subsequent scheduled services must be carried out at an authorised Honda Retailer or Honda Service Centre, in line with the vehicle’s service schedule.

3.  Each service must be recorded in Honda’s Digital Service Record.

4.  Continue servicing your vehicle in this way each year and your warranty can extend until your car reaches 8 years from first registration or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Understanding Your Honda Warranty

Standard Warranty - 3 years

Covers manufacturing and material or material defects for 3 years or 90,000 miles (whichever comes first). Can be extended up to 8 years or 100,000 miles* with servicing at an Authorised Honda Retailer or Service Centre. _{*Subject to annual inspection by your Authorised Honda Dealer or Authorised Service Centre.}

Honda Corrosion Warranty

Surface Corrosion - 3 years

Covers corrosion on painted body surfaces, excluding damage caused by external factors (e.g. bird lime or neglect).

Exhaust Corrosion - 5 years

Covers perforation due to corrosion, excluding heat shields and the catalytic converter’s internal structure.

Chassis Corrosion - 10 years

Covers perforation of key components including suspension, driveshafts, brake and fuel lines, and fuel tank.  _{Subject to annual inspection by your Authorised Honda Dealer or Authorised Service Centre.}

Structural Corrosion - 12 years

Covers corrosion of inner and outer body panels. _{Subject to annual inspection by your Authorised Honda Dealer or Authorised Service Centre.}

Honda Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Warranty

Hybrid Components - 5 years

Covers specified hybrid system components for 5 years or 90,000 miles (whichever comes first), applicable to e:HEV and e:PHEV models. Can be extended up to 8 years or 100,000 miles* with servicing at an Authorised Honda Retailer or Honda Service Centre.

Electric Powertrain - 5 years

Covers defects in the electric powertrain for 5 years or 90,000 miles*, applicable to e:HEV and e:PHEV models. Can be extended up to 8 years or 100,000 miles* with servicing at an Authorised Honda Retailer or Honda Service Centre.

High Voltage Battery - 8 years

The high voltage battery is guaranteed to maintain at least 70% of its original capacity for 8 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first), applicable to e:PHEV and BEV models.^{* Whichever comes first. Additional exclusions may apply during the extension period (see Terms & Conditions for details).}
